ABOUT THE AUTHOR
There are two reasons why Simon Chapman was never going to pander to the recommendation to pepper this with accomplishments.
The first is because the world is too heavily skewed in favour of the loaded dice for such things to matter.
The second is because Simon Chapman doesn’t have any accomplishments.
Born in Bolton, England, in 1974, Simon lived in Essex before his father’s pursuit of a better life led his family to relocate to Perth, Western Australia, in 1987. So Simon wasn’t even responsible for that.
Never one to balk at a challenge, Simon graduated high school with a C-grade average in 1991, but as he wasn’t academically oriented, paying his way has been eked out at one day job after another. No degrees, no masters or diploma, and no literary accolades of any kind.
Only in his late thirties was unremarkability’s gradual surrender to ambition finally prompted. Motivated by the release of too many special-effects blockbusters with plots bordering on the nonsensical, Simon finally put pen to paper. Better late than never, Simon.
This is the history.
